While many players weren’t impressed with Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC, the settlement-building and workshop elements were extremely popular, causing some players to spend hours upon hours modifying their wasteland settlements. Fans wonder that with all the popularity if Bethesda will have something similar for the next Elder Scrolls game – The Elder Scrolls 6.
In fact, The Elder Scrolls 6 work could have started after Skyrim’s release. And, even if it has, it may still be added into later on. Bethesda may also have had the idea the entire time for Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series.
Now, it’s not going to work in the same manner. After all, the setting of Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic wasteland with the society trying to rebuild itself. It makes perfect sense that users can develop new settlements from scratch. However, in the universe of Elder Scrolls, it would feel a bit out of place to create a new town.
That’s not to say it can’t be done.
For instance, rather than complete settlements, users can create smaller outposts. If the game has areas torn apart by war, users could assist the people to re-settle these abandoned towns. Since nothing is really known about The Elder Scrolls 6 setting, it may begin in another isolated area, where starting a new town makes sense.
In a smaller scale, a player’s character could be provided with estate they can customize and grow. It may not have the same kind of population, but users could employ or invite other characters.
These are just some of the ways the settlement system in Fallout 4 could work with The Elder Scrolls 6 game. While some fans think it’s a wonderful idea and addition to the game series, others don’t feel it serves a purpose.
