As we all know, Microsoft released its very first Surface book laptop in October 2015. recent speculations suggest that the next Surface device will be launched as soon as next month and that this device will be an upgraded version of the first gen of Surface Books that is meant to go against Apple’s MacBook Pro 2016 on the high quality laptop market. MacBook Pro 2016 will supposedly be released sometime in June of this year.
Next Trex, a tech blog, posted an article where it said that the Surface Book 2 will be powered by 7th generation Intel Kaby i5 and i7 chipsets built with 14nm FinFet manufacturing, but these will only hit the market at the end of 2016.
Furthermore, new Surface Book 2 will supposedly sport a 13.5 inch display and a 4k resolution support, as opposed to the first Surface Book which had a display resolution of 2000 x 3000 px.
Other rumors say that it will also have a USB Type-C which improves the performance of the device with high speed data transfer and it will enable them to connect a table to another display such as a PC screen or a phone screen.
Tech blogs expect Surface Book 2 to come in many different shapes with different prices. The basic model will presumably cost 1,499 dollar.
On the other side, the Apple side, the future MacBook Pro 2016 will come in two variants: a 13 inch one and a 15 inch one and it will be powered by a 6th gen Intel Skylake chipset. The MacBook Pro 2016 models are also believed to have AMD and Nvidia GPU products. Furthermore, some of the MacBook Pro 2016 models are expected to come with a touch sensitive keyboard, multiple USB Type-C ports and a Thunderbolt 3 port.
