Bethesda Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines recently confirmed in February that Elder Scrolls 6 is in the works. However, Elder Scroll fans may have to wait since the software company recently released its Fallout 4 game.
In order to explain The Elder Scrolls 6 games to play, he referred to Skyrim 2. Basically, it means The Elder Scrolls 6 game is a continuation of the Skyrim storyline. This lays to rest any rumors that claim the game will have ties to Oblivion or Morrowind.
Since Bethesda is focused primarily on Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls 6 is not likely to come out any time soon. In fact, once the DLC for Fallout 4 is all released, the company will focus on Skyrim 2. Bethesda is not known for splitting teams, which means it’s not likely updates and news will be seen anytime soon for Elder Scrolls – perhaps by 2017 when Fallout 4 work should be complete.
Bethesda is known for releasing new Elder Scroll games every four year, which is something to anticipate since no work has been started for the game. It’s hopeful that 2019 will be the year that TES 6 is released – no true idea for a release date until the software game company decides to confirm it is working on it.
Fans of The Elder Scrolls series have been discussing the location of six, with many hoping it’s in Valenwood, Elsweyr and Argonia. If it’s Skyrim 2, then it’s likely to go the direction of Valenwood with the center story situated on the Thalmor group of Skyrim.
Of course, it’s believed that The Elder Scrolls 6 game will begin in 2017, meaning fans can see the game sometime in the next four years. If they’re lucky, it’ll be released by 2020.
