LG has released its G Pad 7.0 tablet back in May 2014 and this year, the South Korean manufacturer is trying its luck again, but with a slightly larger tablet called G Pad X 8.0, which is expected to be unveiled this month. Today we will compare these two devices and let you decide which one is perfect for your needs.
The LG G Pad 7.0 measures 189.3×113.8×10.1mm and weights 293 grams. Its body has a floating arc form, it’s made of plastic and it’s available in colors such as Black, White, Luminous Orange and Luminous Blue. Unfortunately, there are no rumors about the dimensions and the weight of the upcoming LG G Pad X 8.0.
The LG G Pad 7.0 has an IPS LCD display of 7-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels at 216 ppi. On the other hand, the LG G Pad X 8.0 comes with an IPS LCD display of 8-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920×1200 pixels at 283 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The LG G Pad 7.0 features a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 305 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The LG G Pad X 8.0 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
The LG G Pad 7.0 comes with an internal storage of 8GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the LG G Pad X 8.0 has an internal memory of 32GB, but it is not sure yet if it will provide a card slot for storage expansion.
The LG G Pad 7.0 sports a primary camera of 3.15MP that features geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 1.3MP. The LG G Pad X 8.0 has a primary camera of 5MP that supports autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP.
Both devices feature non-removable batteries, but the LG G Pad 7.0 has a 4000 mAh one, which it is less powerful than the 4650 mAh battery that the LG G Pad X 8.0 comes with.
