Every year, Apple is releasing a new iPhone and this September will be brought two more flagships into the family. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will have the same screen sizes as their predecessor, but their hardware will be improved. Apple hasn’t confirmed their specs and we’ll rely only on rumors.
The iPhone 7 is expected to come with the same LED-backligt IPS LCD display of 4.7-inch that will support a resolution of 1334×750 pixels at 326 ppi and it will be protected by a ion-strengthened glass. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will have a bigger LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that will support a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi and it will be protected by a ion-strengthened glass, as well. The 3D Touch feature will be also present, but improved, and users will interact with their phones better by using multi-touch gestures such as Peek and Pop.
Chipsets & RAM
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to feature an A10 chipset and at least 2GB of RAM.
The iPhone 7 is expected to be released in three internal storage variants of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will with a fourth option of 256GB. Unfortunately, these two devices will not provide a card slot for expanding the storage capacity.
It seems that Apple doesn’t intend to increase the resolution of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus cameras. On the rear side will be located the same 12MP camera that will support phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and the secondary camera will be 5MP.
Both devices will feature non-removable batteries, but it’s not yet known if Apple will increase their capacities. That depends on the phones’ thickness and we don’t think the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be thicker than 7.1/7.3mm.
The two devices will be released in September 2016 alongside a third iPhone (Pro), but we don’t know any details about it yet.
