Huawei has released its Honor 5X phablet back in November 2015 and it is expected to release its mid-tier Honor 5c in May 2016. Today we’re going to compare these two handsets and you’ll see what differences are between them. They have a few things in common, but we’ll tell you more below.
The Huawei Honor 5X measures 151.3×76.3×8.2mm and weights 158 grams, while the Honor 5c is much shorter, as it measures 147.1×73.8×8.3mm, but it weights only 2 grams less. Their designs are similar, as both devices have full metal bodies and come in three variants of colors, and on their backs sit the rear camera in the top center, which has the LED flash in front of it and a fingerprint scanner under it.
The Huawei Honor 5X has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi. The Huawei Honor 5c comes with an IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch with the same resolution, but which gives a higher pixel density of 424 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Huawei Honor 5X features a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked a t 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Huawei Honor 5c has a HiSilicon Kirin 650 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, a Mali-T880MP2 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
Both devices come with an internal storage of 16GB, but you can expand it up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The Huawei Honor 5X sports a primary camera of 13MP that features autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Huawei Honor 5c has a primary camera of 13MP that supports LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection and a secondary camera of 8MP.
Both devices have non-removable batteries of 3000 mAh.
