Lenovo’s new flagship smartphone is called ZUK Z2 Pro and it’s powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor (the potential of this platform is fully activated), it has a true 3D-glass body and ten professional sensors, and it costs $320 or $415 (premium version).
Soon, Lenovo will kick off the “U Program” and will invite 1,000 for trial-use for the upcoming devices, giving them the possibility to test out the next smartphones and share their mobile phone experience so that the manufacturer will improve its products. The ZUK Z2 Pro will be the first product from the “U Program” and users will provide feedback and suggestions.
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro houses a Snapdragon 820 chip, but Lenovo managed to fully activate the potential of this platform, by integrating ten professional sensors coordinated by SPU (Hexagon 680), which enable the device to “perceive the true world with data, and then map the relationship among humans, equipment, environment and scenarios using multi-dimensional data”. This will help the smartphone to integrate environment sensing technologies and intelligent communication technologies without consuming too much power. Also, the “U-health” application was based on the ten sensors and it’s capable of monitoring and analyzing the frequency and length of strides, heart rate and blood oxygen, helping users to live a healthy life with sports.
The body of the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro is made of a true 3D glass, so the entire glass is evenly curved. It has a middle frame made of aluminum, it’s combined with a roll-cage shock-absorptive design. The glass is very resistant, hard to crack, even if the user will accidentally sit on the phone.
The screen measures 5.2-inch, it was manufactured by Samsung and has a narrow frame of only 1.41mm. The screen, which is protected with Gorilla Glass and has a anti-fingerprint film on top of it, supports a Full HD resolution and offers two color modes: 100 percent NTSC high color saturation and 100 percent RGB high color reproduction.
The main camera has a resolution of 13MP (ISOCELL), an f/1.8 high-aperture and supports a dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1.34μm high-pixel particles and 1/2.6” big-size CMOS photosensitive elements.
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro is available in two variants of internal memories of 64GB and 128GB, but the flagship variant supports 4GB of RAM, while the premium model has 6GB of RAM.
