The default dialer application that comes with the Android N Developer Preview, comes with a significant change, which you will notice at the first use. Once you open the Google Phone application, an indicator will appear somewhere alongside the middle tab which will show how many calls you’ve missed. What’s interesting is that this update is not available only in Android N Preview version 3.0, but it’s also available in version 2.05.
Keep in mind that both versions will work with Android 6.0, but it is good to know that version 3.0 doesn’t run on the Nexus 6P. According to reports, the dialer works without any issues on the LG G3 device.
How To Install The New Google Phone Version On Your Android Device
The new Google Phone version 2.05 and 3.0 can be downloaded directly from the internet, but we suggest you to download it only from a trusted website, in order to avoid getting a malware on your Android device. We remind you that your device will need to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS (or later) or else this Google Phone version will be compatible with it.
After downloading the Google Phone 2.05 APK or Google Phone 3.0 APK file from the internet, you will need to enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Security. When you’re sure that the “Unknown Sources” option is enabled, open a file manager application and head to the location where you’ve saved the APK file. Once you’re there, tap on the APK file that you’ve just downloaded in order to start the installation process of the Google Phone 2.05 or Google Phone 3.0 on your Android device.
