The developers of WhatsApp have released a new version for the Android devices. The WhatsApp 2.16.43 is currently in BETA phase and it comes with translations for the new feature that we’ve told you about yesterday (wallpaper gallery).

In addition, the new WhatsApp version comes with usual performance improvements and bug fixes. The WhatsApp 2.16.43 APK (installation) file has been increased with 38KB, it has 117 modified files, 1 deleted file (“solid_color_wallpaper_picker.xml”) and 1 new file (“wallpaper_grid_preview.xml”).

We remind you that some previous rumors were suggesting that the WhatsApp application will receive a Video Calling feature sometime in the near future. The rumored feature will most likely be released firstly for Android devices and, after that, for iOS and Windows 10 Mobile OS devices.

WhatsApp 2.16.43: How To Install On Your Android Device

The latest WhatsApp BETA version can now be installed from the Google Play Store, but you will need to become a beta tester first. In order to become a beta tester for the WhatsApp application you will need to go to this page and tap on the “BECOME A TESTER” button. Finally, open the Google Play Store and search for the latest WhatsApp BETA version and install it on your Android device.

You can also install the latest WhatsApp BETA version without joining the BETA testing program. To do this, you will need to firstly download the WhatsApp 2.16.43 APK file from After that, enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Applications or Settings->Security (depends from an Android OS version to another).

Finally, you will need to use a file manager application to get to the location where you have saved the APK file and tap on it to start the installation process of the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device.
