The LG G5 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus have been released this month, but the first one is a flagship that can be preordered from Amazon UK for £529, while the latter is a budget friendly device costing less than $130 in India. Today, we’re going to compare these two smartphones and highlight the differences between them.
The LG G5 measures 149.4×73.9×7.7mm and weights 159 grams. The device has a metal body with an innovative modular design which allows users to upgrade certain components, such as the battery, which will pop out from the bottom of the phone. Also, the physical buttons that were previously found on the back, below the camera, are now located on the sides. On the other hand, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is thicker and lighter as it measures 142x71x8mm and weights 142 grams. The middle of the back is made of metal, while on the top and bottom are two wide strips of plastic, but the device lacks a fingerprint scanner.
The LG G5 has an IPS LCD display of 5.3-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 554 ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with a smaller IPS display of 5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi.

The LG G5 has a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset with a quad-core processor formed from a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
The LG G5 has an internal memory of 32GB, which you can expand up to 200GB using a microSD card. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has half its internal memory, but it can be doubled with a microSD card.
The LG G5 sports a dual-primary camera of 16MP+8MP that features laser autofocus, LED flash, OIS, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with a 13MP primary camera that offers LED flash, HDR, panorama, face detection, touch focus, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 5MP.
Both devices feature removable batteries with capacities of 2800 mAh (LG G5) and 2750 mAh (Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus), respectively.
