As most of you already know, the WhatsApp application is available only for smartphones. However, today we’re going to teach you how to use the WhatsApp Web feature in order to access your WhatsApp account from your Android tablet or iPad. It is good to know that the WhatsApp application can be installed on a tablet which comes with SIM support.

So, let’s say that you own a tablet that doesn’t support a SIM card and you want to access your WhatsApp account. First of all, it is good to know that the tablet’s browser will detect the device as a mobile unit and it will open the webpages in the mobile format. With other words, instead of opening the web.whatsapp.com webpage, it will take you to the WhatsApp download webpage.

However, by installing the Firefox application on your tablet, you will be able to surf the desktop format of the web.whatsapp.com page, which will allow you to access the WhatsApp account. It is good to know that in order to use this feature, you will need a smartphone that will be connected to your WhatsApp account.

Once the webpage loads on your tablet, scan the QR code using the WhatsApp application that’s open on your smartphone. Once you scan the QR code, you will sign into your WhatsApp account on the tablet. However, you will need to keep your smartphone connected to the internet, as it will be used to send and receive data. At the same time, the tablet will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
