The OnePlus 3 handset is expected to be announced soon, while the Sony Xperia X has already been unveiled back in February 2016 and it’s expected to hit the stores in the following weeks.
Unfortunately, we have no rumors regarding the dimensions and weight of the OnePlus 3 and we don’t know it will use the same Sandstone black material for its rear panel. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia X measures 142.7×69.4×7.9mm and weight 153 grams and has a full metal design.
The OnePlus 3 device will sport a LTPS IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that will support a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi, just like its predecessors, and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia X has a smaller IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi and it’s protected by a scratch-resistant glass.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The OnePlus 3 features a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, a quad-core processor formed from a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz and dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and two RAM variants of 4GB and 6GB. The Sony Xperia X has a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, a hexa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and a dual-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 3 comes in two internal storage variants of 32GB (the variant with 4GB of RAM) and 64GB (the variant with 6GB of RAM), but unfortunately, you can’t expand it. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia X will be released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, which you will be able to expand up to 200GB using a microSD card.
The OnePlus 3 sports a primary camera of 16MP that features OIS, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Sony Xperia X has a better primary camera of 23MP that offers LED flash, phase detection autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama, touch focus, and a secondary camera of 13MP.
