The HTC 10 Lifestyle is expected to be released sometime next month, being the weaker variant of the HTC 10 flagship, while the Samsung has revealed its Galaxy J3 (2016) in January 2016. Today we’re going to compare these two mid-range handsets and let you decide which one suits your needs better.


The HTC 10 Lifestyle measures 145.9×71.9x9mm and weights 161 grams. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) is slimmer and lighter as it measures 142.3x71x7.9mm and weights 138 grams. While the HTC 10 Lifestyle has an all metal body with a curve that starts from the middle, the Galaxy J3 (2016) has a plastic design which looks rather cheap.


The HTC 10 Lifestyle has a Super LCD5 display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 565 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) comes with a smaller Super AMOLED display of 5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi.

The HTC 10 Lifestyle features a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) has a Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a Mali-400 graphics card and 1.5GB of RAM.


The HTC 10 Lifestyle has an internal storage of 32GB, but you can expand it up to 200GB using a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) comes in two internal storage variants of 8GB and 16GB, which you can expand up to 128GB using a microSD card.


The HTC 10 Lifestyle sports a primary camera of 12MP that features laser autofocus, OIS, dual-LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) has been released in two camera variants, as follows:

– a primary camera of 8MP (LED flash) and a secondary camera of 5MP
– a primary camera of 5MP (LED flash) and a secondary camera of 2MP.


The HTC 10 Lifestyle features a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh, which is more powerful than the removable 2600 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016).
