Surface Pro 4 and Galaxy TabPro S are two hybrid tablets that come with some powerful specifications. The former was released last fall and runs on Windows 10 Pro, while the latter was presented during the CES 2016 event and soon will be available worldwide. Both tablets can be connected to a first-party keyboard, but while Samsung has included a free one in the box, Microsoft is selling the Type Cover for its Surface Pro 4 for a price of 130 dollars. Here’s a comparison between the two 2-in-1 tablets.

Designs

The Surface Pro 4 device measures 290.3×198.8×6.3mm and weights 786 grams. This tablet has a magnesium casing, while its rival, the Galaxy TabPro S, comes with a plastic back and a magnesium frame, but it’s thicker and lighter, as it measures 292.1×201.4×8.4mm and weights 696 grams.

Displays

The Surface Pro 4 comes with a 12.3-inch display that supports a resolution of 2636×1824 pixels at 267 ppi. The Galaxy TabPro S has a smaller display of 12-inch that supports a lower resolution of 2160×1440 pixels at 216 ppi.

Processors, RAM & Storage

If you decide to purchase the Surface Pro 4, then you will be able to choose between an Intel Core m3, Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7 dual-core processor and 4GB, 8GB and 16GB of RAM. The device comes in 4 internal storage variants of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

The Galaxy TabPro S comes with an Intel Core m3 dual-core processor clocked that’s backed up by 4GB of RAM. In addition, the device comes in two internal storage variants of 128GB and 256GB.

Cameras

The Surface Pro 4 sports a primary camera of 8MP and a secondary camera of 5MP. On the other hand, the Galaxy TabPro S has a weaker primary camera of 5MP and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The Surface Pro 4 features a battery of 5087, which is slightly less powerful than the 5200 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S.

Conclusion

As you can see, both devices come with good specifications, but we can clearly say that companies will choose the Surface Pro 4 over the Galaxy TabPro S. This is because the device that Microsoft has released comes in more variants of processors, storage and RAM, which will allow every company to customize the Surface Pro 4 the way they want.
