GTA 5’s Tornado Week might be over, but it’s time for a new week-long event to begin. Sabre Week has now started in GTA 5 and GTA Online, with special bonuses that will be available through next Thursday, April 21.
Like with the Tornado celebration, the highlight of Sabre Week is the new Declasse Sabre Turbo Custom. It will become available from Benny’s Original Motor Works on April 19 and will have a wide variety of upgrades and options.
GTA Online has several other special events in progress during the week, as well. If you want to earn Double RP, you have two options. First, several Racing Playlists will be available between now and next Thursday that offer Double RP. This weekend has a Super Car Racing playlist, Monday and Tuesday will feature a Lowriders Street Racing playlist, and on Wednesday and Thursday it will be time for a Mixed Road Racing playlist.
Double RP will also be awarded for Impromptu Races and riding with multiple players in the vehicle.
There’s also a selection of promotions and deals in effect. Mechanic services are completely free all week long, and there are numerous discounts for you to take advantage of:
- 20% off properties, including garages
- 50% off tattoos
- 50% off hairstyles
- 25% off select Lowriders clothing
If you make use of GTA Online Shark Cards, you’ll also get bonus free GTA$, the amount of which varies depending on the size of the card. You’ll get more free GTA$ from larger cards.
For full information about all of these things, be sure to check out the official announcement from Rockstar.
Even if you have no interest in the Declasse Sabre Turbo Custom, there are plenty of other bonuses here you can enjoy, especially the double RP playlists and the discounts. Free mechanic services are also a nice touch. Remember, today and tomorrow are the final days for the Super Car Racing Double RP playlist, as the Lowriders one will start on Monday.
