The Xiaomi Mi 5 has been released this month and it comes with some awesome specifications. The OnePlus 3 is expected to be released sometime the next month, but there are already rumors circulating on the internet with its awesome specifications. We’ll compare these two handsets and you’ll decide if it’s worth buying the Mi 5 that has half the price of Samsung’s Galaxy s7, or you should wait for the arrival of the third generation OnePlus flagship.

Displays

The Xiaomi Mi 5 features an IPS LCD display of 5.15-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 428 ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 will sport a LTPS IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that will support a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.



Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, an Adreno 530 graphics card, but it comes in two variants of processors and RAM, as follows:

– dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.8GHz + a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.36GHz and 4GB OF RAM;
– dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz + a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and 3GB of RAM.

According to rumors, the OnePlus 3 will feature a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset with a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Storages

The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in three internal storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 will be released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB. Unfortunately, none of devices offers a card slot for storage expansion.

Cameras

The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a primary camera of 16MP that features dual-LED flash, OIS, phase detection autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 4MP. The OnePlus 3 will have a primary camera of 16MP with features such as OIS, dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR, face detection and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is powered by a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh. Unfortunately, there are no rumors about the battery capacity of the upcoming OnePlus 3.
