The Gears of War 4 multiplayer BETA will begin next week on Microsoft’s Xbox One. This game is being developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft Studios and we’re pretty sure that many players have been waiting for it for quite a while.
We remind you that whoever has played the Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Xbox One and PC by April 11, 2016, will get first wave of keys via an “early access” period that will run during April 18-24, 2016. The codes will be sent out to the players in chronological order, based on the date when they have FIRST played the game we’ve mentioned above. With other words, if you’ve purchased and played the Gears of War Ultimate Edition right after it was released, then you have high chances to receive the beta code on April 18, 2016. The codes will be sent via Xbox Live messages and all of them should reach players until April 21, 2016.
The reason why the studio doesn’t want to release all of them at once is because they are not sure that the servers will hold up a big amount of players coming all at once. At the same time The Coalition has confirmed that the players who will play the Gears of War 4 BETA, will receive a reward for participating, but it didn’t reveal more information about this.
At the same time, the developer will also hold a live stream event today, where some special guests will be able to play the game. During this event, the studio will also give out “tons of keys”, which will allow players to play the BETA starting from today, which is three days before the early access period begins!
Once the Gears of War 4: Multiplayer BETA early access period will end (April 24, 2016), *ALL* the Xbox Live Gold users will be able to play the game from April 25 to May 1, 2016.
