While Verizon has already upgraded to the LG G3 Marshmallow software, other mobile carriers – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular – have not updated their software system.
The update is also available to all LG G3 smartphone users with international and unlocked versions. It’s presently being rolled out through OTA. For smartphone users on the other mobile carriers, there is a bit of good news with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update being released.
Here’s a look at the other carriers LG G3 Marshmallow Update:
This company has not been active in offering Marshmallow updates, as just a minute number of devices have it as their system. The carrier has not announced when the LG G3 Marshmallow update is going to be available. 2015 was the last time the phone got an update – Android Lollipop.
This company has been doing quite well in updating its face with the Android Marshmallow, offering it on several devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. The problem is that it’s still behind, with the last LG G3 update being offered in November 2015, which was in response to the Android security. Sprint has yet to mention a date for when Marshmallow will be available on LG G3 devices.
Although some of T-Mobile’s phone have Android Marshmallow, it has yet to offer it for its LG G3 phones. Right now, the update is on the Magenta development stage, but it’s hopeful that T-Mobile is about to do some testing. There were 18 phones that were supposed to get the update, but only eight have gotten it. LG G3 is one of the ones still waiting for the update.
U.S. Cellular LG G3 uses the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. Like the majority of other carriers, U.S. Cellular isn’t releasing any news about the update.
It appears that Verizon is the only one to offer the LG G3 Marshmallow update, which mean it’s not going to be too much longer before the other carriers start offering it as well. While details are not available as to when, it’s bound to be sooner than later.
