WhatsApp is one of the most used mobile messaging applications out there, being used by millions of people every day. The application is now totally free, as Facebook, the owner of WhatsApp, has decided to remove the annual fee of 0.99 dollars.
Today we’re going to talk about the WhatsApp 2.16.20 (BETA) version that has been released for Android devices. Unfortunately, we don’t have an official change log of this new update, but we can assume that it comes with usual bug fixes and other improvements to the application’s stability.
We don’t have yet any news about the rumored Video Calling feature, which is expected to be released soon for this application. However, we are pretty sure that the developers will bring the Video Calling feature to the WhatsApp application and it is just a matter of time until this will happen.
The new WhatsApp 2.16.20 APK (installation) file has 27MB in size and it can now be downloaded and installed on your Android device. It is good to know that the latest WhatsApp BETA version can now be installed directly from the Google Play Store, but you will firstly need to join the WhatsApp BETA Testing program.
It is good to know that you can also use the old way to install the latest WhatsApp BETA version. In order to do this, you will firstly need to enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Applications or Settings->Security (it depends from an Android OS version to another).
