Gears of War 4 will finally be released for Xbox One on October 11, 2016. With other words, almost a full decade has passed since the first Gears of War game has been released for Xbox 360.
During an interview with Rod Fergusson, the head of The Coalition studio, new details about this upcoming game have surfaced. This comes almost a month later after we’ve heard about Gears of War 4. We remind you that back in March we were informed that there are chances that the GoW 4 will be released for Windows PC. In addition, the game’s multiplayer mode will run at 60 frames per second (FPS).
According to Fergusson, the Gears of War 4 was almost moved to a new planet. The reason why the developers wanted to do this is because this could bring new characters along with a chance to add GoW lore without always have to connect it with the previous games in the series. However, the team then realized that by switching planets will also mean that they could not revisit their favorite locales from the previous game versions. So, with other words, the Gears of War 4 will return to Sera.
We also have some other good news for the fans of this game series. The Gears of War 4 Multiplayer BETA will start on April 18, 2016 and the ones who’ve purchased the “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” will be able to start testing it out from day 1. However, for those who only have an Xbox Live Gold subscription will need to wait 1 more week, as they will have access to the BETA version of Gears of War 4 starting from April 25, 2016.
The Gears of War 4 Multiplayer BETA will continue until May 1, 2016 which means that the fans will have enough time to test it out.
