A new WhatsApp version for Android devices has been released and it is now available for download on the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp 2.16.6 doesn’t come with new features or visual changes in its interface.

However, it comes with some fixes for bugs and issues that the developers have found in the previous WhatsApp version that has been released a few days ago, when the company improved the interface and the quality of videos and photographs.

The new WhatsApp 2.16.6 doesn’t bring many changes and its APK file has been increased with only 17KB, having no new files, but 214 files have been modified, which include the ones that are related to a security function that hasn’t been enabled yet.

We remind you that there are rumors which say that WhatsApp will soon receive a Video Calling feature. Unfortunately, this has not been confirmed yet by anyone from WhatsApp, so we’re not sure how legit these rumors are.

WhatsApp 2.16.6: How To Install On Your Android Device

The WhatsApp 2.16.6 is currently in BETA phase, which means that it may come with bugs and other issues that could be annoying for some users. With other words, if you want a bug-free application, we suggest you to download and install the latest STABLE version of WhatsApp from the official Android store.

However, if you want to get the latest BETA version of this application, you will firstly need to join the WhatsApp BETA testing program. To do this, you will need to head here and tap on “BECOME A TESTER”. Once you do this, you will be able to download and install the WhatsApp 2.16.6 BETA directly from the official Android Store.

If you install the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device, we suggest you to report, as soon as possible, all the bugs and errors you will find, so that the developers can fix them before they release the next WhatsApp STABLE version.
