A new WhatsApp BETA version for Android has been released and it is now available on the Google Play Store.
The WhatsApp 2.16.5 comes with a few changes to the videos and photos sharing and it has a new submit button, which removes the send and cancel buttons. You will also notice that all the buttons that are related to the camera have been changed.
It is good to know that we’ve also found some improvements made when taking photos. The quality of the pictures you take while using the WhatsApp application has been improved, but you will also have access to the gallery of images right from the in-built Camera App on WhatsApp.
The new WhatsApp 2.16.5 APK also comes with many changes, as the files has been decreased by 123KB, it has almost 500 modified files, all referring to all its functions, except its security. In addition, 13 new files have been added, 7 of them being the new camera icons and the rest related to photos and videos. The APK files also comes with 74 removed files, most of them related to some icons that were present in different directories.

The WhatsApp 2.16.5 can be downloaded and installed on your Android device directly from the Google Play Store. However, you will need to firstly join the WhatsApp BETA Testing program, before you can do this.
You can also install the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device using the old “fashion” way by downloading the WhatsApp 2.16.5 APK (installation) file from the whatsapp.com/android website. Once you’ve saved the APK file on your Android device, enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Security or Settings->Applications.
Finally, go to the location where you’ve saved the APK file and tap on it to start installing the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android smartphone.
