A new WhatsApp BETA version has been released for the Android devices, which can now be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store.

The WhatsApp version 2.12.561 comes with new translations related to a new option that will pop-up when you touch the images of individual chats or groups. Apart from this new feature, we’ve also noticed many modified files, which are most likely bringing bug fixes and performance enhancements.

The WhatsApp 2.12.561 APK file has been increased with 75KB, without added or deleted files, but about 380 archives have been modified and they are related to all the functions of the application, including the security function that’s still not activated.

WhatsApp 2.12.561 BETA: How To Install On Your Android Device

As we’ve told you above, the WhatsApp 2.12.561 is currently in BETA phase, but you can download and install it directly from the Google Play Store, as long as you join the WhatsApp BETA Program. In order to become a beta tester of WhatsApp on Google Play Store you will need to head to and tap on “Become A Tester” button.

However, you can also manually install the latest WhatsApp BETA version by going to and download the APK file from there. After that, you will need to enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Applications or Settings->Security and use a file manager application to get to the location where you’ve saved the installation file. Finally, tap on the WhatsApp 2.12.561 APK file in order to start the installation process.

We remind you that since this WhatsApp version is in BETA, you may find bugs and other issues. We suggest you to report them as soon as possible, so that the developers can fix them before they release the next WhatsApp STABLE version.
