The WhatsApp application is updated frequently for popular mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS or Windows Phone. However, that doesn’t mean that the developers have totally forgotten about the rest of operating systems, which are still supported, and this is confirmed by the new WhatsApp version for the Nokia Asha devices that has just been released.
The new update of this application runs on Nokia Asha and Symbian 40 (Nokia C3). Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp 2.13.42 is a minor update that doesn’t come with major changes and it seems that the developers haven’t added the ability to send and receive documents, a feature that’s already available on other Nokia devices.
However, internally, it seems that the .jar (installation) file comes with many changes and, first of all, we should say that this file has been decreased by 42KB, having over 1274 files modified files and 5 directories + 26 files have been removed (this is the reason why the .jar file size has been decreased so much).
How To Install WhatsApp 2.13.42 On Your Nokia Asha Device
The WhatsApp 2.13.42 is currently in BETA phase, which means that you will firstly need to manually download the .jar file to your smartphone. After that, you will need to uninstall the current WhatsApp version, but make sure that you backup the conversations before you do that. Finally, you will need to go to the location where you’ve saved the .jar file and run it in order to start the installation process of the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Nokia Asha device.
When the installation is complete, you will need to use your mobile phone number to get verified in order to log into your WhatsApp account.
