Five months later, arrived the first wave of discounts and the most expensive models had their price cut by up to $100, while the Type Cover accessory was available for free. Amazon has also dropped the prices for the Surface Pro 4 tablet and the customers can save up to $200.

– Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage – $1,439 / $1,599;
– Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage – $1,741 / $1,799;
– Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage – $1,809 / $1,899;
– Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage – $2,000 / 2,199.

The biggest discount is offered for the most expensive Surface Pro 4, which means that if you’ll buy the i7 variants with 16GB of RAM, you will save $200, but this promotion is for a limited time. The second best choice is the i7 model with 8GB of RAM, which is $160 cheaper, and the third good deal is the i5 model, which will save you $100.

The Type Cover accessory is sold for $130 on Microsoft’s store, but you will receive it for free, if you’ll opt for the most advanced models. This physical keyboard will turn any Surface Pro 4 tablet into a laptop that runs on Windows 10. This means that you will be able to install and run any Windows desktop application with ease.

The only problem that some of the users have reported is related to the battery life, which was consumed pretty, but Microsoft has fixed this issue through some firmware updates. The good news is that the users who are on the road all the time and don’t have access to a wall outlet can buy an external battery pack.
