One of the most popular mobile messaging applications out there is WhatsApp. Currently, the developers are working on new features that will be brought to WhatsApp, in order to keep up the pace with other messaging applications. Today we’re going to talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version for Windows Phone that has been released and which comes with some new features.
The WhatsApp 2.12.338 is the latest BETA version for Windows Phone. This update has finally brought one of the features that many users have requested, which is the “video download progress bar”. With other words, from now on, the Windows Phone owners that use WhatsApp will be able to see what percentage of the video is downloaded, instead of just seeing some dots revolving.
Unfortunately, the developers haven’t added the “pause” option, which means that you will not be able to pause the download of a video once it is started. Keep in mind that these features will soon be added to the public application, but if you want to test out the BETA version, you will need to join the WhatsApp BETA for the Windows Phone program. After you get selected, you will be able to download the latest WhatsApp BETA version for your device.
HINT: Keep in mind that since this is a BETA version of WhatsApp, you might find some bugs and errors, which you should report to the developers, so they can fix them before the final WhatsApp version is released for all the users.
We remind you that there are rumors which say that the WhatsApp application will receive a Video Calling feature. However, this feature is expected to roll out only to Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile.
