LG is currently working on delivering the latest Android OS version update to its devices. According to some reports, some of the LG G3 and LG Nexus 5X devices have already got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and, now, the rest of the users are receiving this firmware, as well.

At the same time, Google has been quite busy in the last few weeks, as the company is working on the upcoming Android N, while OMEs are preparing to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on their devices.

For the LG Nexus 5 device, the update will come in the form of a custom ROM and the latest one is the Exodus custom ROM. With other words, if you will want to install this custom ROM on your Nexus 5 device, you will need to root your headset, but make sure to backup all your important data before you do that. In addition, you will need to enable the “USB debugging mode” and make sure that your handset has about 80-85% battery left before starting the installation process.

However, the LG Nexus 5X owners will be able to update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow using the OTA update. With other words, you will get the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your device, which means that the installation process will be easier and safer.

When it comes to the LG G3 device, there are reports which say that the mobile carrier Telus will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the aforementioned device in just a few days. We remind you that a few days ago, some reports were suggesting that the carrier will actually remove this device from the list of units waiting in line for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. If rumors will prove to be right, the LG G3 devices from Telus will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on March 29, 2016.
