Surface Pro 5: Features & Specifications
According to early speculations, the upcoming Surface Pro 5 will be released with an Intel Skylake chipset. According to TechRadar, the device will run on the latest Windows 10 Redstone 2 OS (preinstalled).
We remind you that one of the issues that the Surface Pro 4 has is the battery performance, which according to report it lasts only around 5-6 hours. Well, it seems that Microsoft will improve the battery life on the upcoming Surface Pro 5 and it is expected to last up to 7 hours.
In addition, the Surface Pen will also receive some new features and if the rumors will prove to be right, it will feature a power off/on button along with a LED light for notifications and a charging pot.
The Surface Pro 4 comes with a 12.3-inch display that supports a resolution of 2736×1824 pixels, but it seems that the Surface Pro 5 will have a bigger screen size of 13.3-inch that will support a 4K resolution. We remind you that Surface Pro 5’s direct competitor is the Apple’s iPad Pro which, comes with a 12.9-inch display.
In addition, the Surface Pro 5 will also include an USB Type-C port, a feature that was missing from the Surface Pro 4 and it is found on the Macbook and Chromebook Pixel.
