The LG G4 and Motorola Moto X Play have been released in April and July 2015. The first one is slightly weaker than other flagships released in the same period, while the latter is the mid-range and smaller version of the Moto X 2015. The LG G4 has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 538 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto X Play has an IPS LCD Display of 5.5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 403 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, as well.

The LG G4 has a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.44GHz and a dual-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Moto X Play features a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
The LG G4 has an internal storage of 32GB, while the Moto X Play comes in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB. You can expand the storage on both devices, as they offer a slot that supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 128GB.
The LG G4 sports a primary camera of 16MP that features autofocus, OIS, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Moto X Play has a primary camera of 21MP with features such as dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, auto-HDR, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP.
The LG G4 comes with a removable battery of 3000 mAh, which is less powerful than the non-removable 3630 mAh battery of the Moto X Play device.
