WhatsApp is the mobile application of the moment, being used by over 1 billion people who are accessing their accounts daily, to keep in touch with their loved ones. The developers are continuously improving this application, but they’re focusing more on the Android version, while the Windows Phone users are waiting for weeks until they see a new update.
Today we’re going to talk about the WhatsApp 2.12.314, a new version of this awesome application that has been released for the Windows Phone devices. The new WhatsApp version comes with a new icon to the “Document” attach button. In addition, it also adds regional localization for certain prompts, which means that based on your location, you will be warned in your appropriate language that documents can only be sent to those who have the latest WhatsApp version or else it will not work. In addition, the new WhatsApp version comes with some improvements to the video compression processing.
However, it is good to know that only a limited number of Windows Phone owners have been allowed to download and install this WhatsApp BETA version on their handsets. According to rumors, the WhatsApp 2.12.314 will also be offered to all the Windows Phone users, but this is just a matter of time until it will happen.
The latest WhatsApp public version can be downloaded directly from the Windows Store. We also remind you that the developers have removed the yearly fee (0.99 dollars) and have made the application totally free.
There are also rumors which say that the Video Calling feature will be added to the WhatsApp application sometime in the near future. This new feature is expected to be firstly released for the Android devices, and it will be followed soon enough by iOS, Windows Phone and others. Unfortunately, the WhatsApp developers haven’t confirmed this yet, so we should take this news with a bit of salt.
