Sharing is caring!

The developers of WhatsApp have updated the Android and iOS versions, adding five new features that the users will be mad about. Currently, there are over one million people who are using this application which, by the end of the year, will stop supporting the BlackBerry 10 and Nokia platforms, as well as the old Android versions, which means that the developers will focus on improving the major operating systems, Android and iOS. WhatsApp’s new version is officially called 2.12.15 and more about it we’ll tell you below.

Photo sharing is a feature that the users have requested and they can finally use it. Now, you are able to share images from Dropbox, Google Drive or Microsoft’s OneDrive and the option to use another application will be found at the bottom of your screen, and will appear when selecting photos.

Document sharing is the second addition and will save you from using your email to attach documents and send them to your friends. Now, you’ll just send documents up to 100 MB in size through conversations and you’ll see the option when clicking on the arrow that is found in the bottom left hand corner.

Video zoom will allow you to see important details by pinching your fingers to enlarge video.

Background colors will replace the standard background and you will be able to choose from a variety of colors. This option will be found in the application’s settings menu.

Storage space is the fifth important new feature, and will solve a big problem with the space that was required by the application to function. There are many phones with a low internal memory and this new feature will allow them to store more funny GIFs, music or messages.

We remind you that one of the recent new features is the ability to share PDF files, granular chat clearing options, link copying etc.
