The Sony Xperia C4 and LG Nexus 5X smartphones have been released in 2015 and each one is impressive in is own way. The first one is a phablet with plenty qualities, while the second has been built by LG for Google and comes loaded with the latest Marshmallow version and a fingerprint scanner on its back.
The Sony Xperia C4 measures 150.3×77.4×7.9mm and weights 147 grams. Unlike the Xperia flagships, which have their backs covered in glass, this model has its entire body made of plastic, and even if it doesn’t offer the best feel, it’s helping the device to not heat up. The LG Nexus 5X is also made of plastic, but it measures 147×72.6×7.9mm and weights 136 grams. It has a large circular rear camera and a fingerprint scanner below it, which supports Android Pay.
The Xperia C4 has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi and has a scratch-resistant glass on top of it. On the other hand, the Nexus 5X comes with an IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch that offers the same resolution, but which gives a pixel density of 423 ppi, and its surface is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Xperia C4 features a Mediatek MT6752 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, a Mali-T760MP2 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 5 has been released with a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.44GHz and a dual-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
The Xperia C4 comes with an internal storage of only 16GB, but don’t worry, because you will be able to expand it up to 128GB using a microSD card. The Nexus 5X has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB, but they’re unexpandable.
The Xperia C4 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features geo-tagging, autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Nexus 5X comes with a primary camera of 12.3MP that features geo-tagging, touch focus, dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP.
Both devices come with non-removable batteries, but the Xperia C4 has a capacity of 2600 mAh, and this cell is slightly less-powerful than the 2700 mAh battery of the Nexus 5X.
