The HTC One M9 has been released in March 2015, but the Taiwanese company is preparing to announce its HTC One M10 next month. Today we’re going to compare the HTC M9 with the successor, based on the rumored specifications.

Displays and Designs

The HTC One M9 has an SUPER LCD3 display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the other hand, the HTC One M10 comes with an AMOLED display of 5.15-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 570 ppi and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The One M9 looks almost identical to the One M8, featuring the same curved metallic body with two lines at the top and bottom. The One M10, which is rumored to be called HTC 10, will have also a metal body, but without those lines, according to some leaked images.



Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The HTC One M9 features a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The HTC One M10 has been released with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, a quad-core processor formed from a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 2.15GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM.

Storages

The HTC One M9 and HTC One M10 come with an internal storage of 32GB, which can be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The HTC One M9 sports a primary camera of 20MP (located on the rear side of the device) that features dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 4MP (found on the front side of the smartphone).

The HTC One M10 is expected to come with a primary camera of 12MP that will support OIS, dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama, touch focus, face detection. However, currently, we don’t have any information about the front camera.
