Today, we’re comparing two smartphones that are close in size, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and Xiaomi Redmi 2, which have been released last year, with some decent specifications. Although they’re both mid-range smartphones, they’re totally different and you’ll pick the winner after finding out which one has better specs.
The Xperia M4 Aqua handset measures 145.5×72.6×7.3mm and weights 136 grams. It has an Omnibalance design with a polycarbonate edging, while the back is made of glass, which means that it will easily scratch when placing it on any surface. However, the phone as nylonised corners and the interior is protected against dust and water. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 is thicker and slightly lighter as it measures 134×67.2×9.4mm and weights 133 grams. This phone has a simple plastic back, curved on the ages, so there’s nothing spectacular about it.
The Xperia M4 Aqua has an IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi and it’s protected by a scratch-resistant glass. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 has a smaller IPS LCD display of 4.7-inch with the same resolution, but the resulted pixel density is higher at 312 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
