As we’ve told you in a previous article, the developers of WhatsApp have officially announced that by the end of 2016, this application will stop supporting devices that run on the following operating systems: BlackBerry (BlackBerry 10 included), Nokia Symbian S60, Nokia S40, Android 2.1, Android 2.2 and Windows Phone 7.1.
However, since it’s only March, there is plenty of time left for the developers to release new versions of WhatsApp for the operating systems we’ve mentioned above. Today we’re going to talk about the new WhatsApp 2.12.382 that the developers have just released for the Nokia Symbian devices.
HINT: Keep in mind that even if the application will stop being supported by the WhatsApp developers for one of the mentioned operating systems, that doesn’t mean that it will stop functioning. However, once this will happen, you will notice that the developers will stop releasing new WhatsApp versions for the specific operating system.
The new WhatsApp version come with minor fixes and other improvements, but unfortunately, the 500 new emoji characters that were introduced in the previous BETA version have not been activated yet.
The WhatsApp 2.12.382 .sis (installation) doesn’t come with many changes. The installation file has been decreased by only 14KB and 8 files have been modified, which are related to libraries and executable app.
