The Microsoft Lumia 535 is a cheap mid-tier device with much weaker specs that the G3, which has been released in 2014, but the first phone arrived at the end of the year, while the other was launched in summer. The Lumia 535 runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 and soon, the company will upgrade it to Windows 10 Mobile, while the G3 is currently running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and soon, it will receive the latest 6.0 Marshmallow firmware. Here’s comparison between these two devices.


The Microsoft Lumia 535 measures 140.2×72.4×8.8mm and weights 146 grams, it features a polycarbonate shell which is curved on the edges and it’s available in five colors: orange, green, white, black, gray and blue. On the other hand, the LG G3 is thicker and heavier, as it measures 146.3×74.6×8.9mm and weights 149 grams, but its back is made of plastic and features a brushed metal effect. Also, the volume and power buttons sit below the rear camera.


The Microsoft Lumia 535 has an IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 960×540 pixels at 220 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The LG G3 comes with a HD-IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 538 ppi and its protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as well.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Microsoft Lumia 535 houses an inferior Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 302 graphics card, and 1GB of RAM. The LG G3 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics card and it’s available in two RAM variants of 2GB and 3GB.


The Microsoft Lumia 535 comes with an internal storage of 8GB. On the other hand, the LG G3 has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB. Both devices support a microSD card slot that can be used to expand the internal storage up to 128GB.


The Microsoft Lumia 535 sports a primary camera of 5MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 5MP. The LG G3 has a better primary camera of 13MP with OIS, dual-LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of only 2.1MP.

The primary camera is found on the rear side of the handsets, while the secondary camera is placed on the front side of the smartphones.


Both devices come with removable batteries, but the Microsoft Lumia 535 doesn’t have a long life with its battery of only 1905 mAh, while the LG G3 is powered by a cell of 3000 mAh.
