However, don’t forget that the old fashion way still works, so if you want to manually install the WhatsApp 2.12.485 update, head to whatsapp.com/android and download the APK file to your Android device.

Once the file has been downloaded, enable the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings->Applications or Settings->Security.
