Samsung has already unveiled its latest Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices and today we’re going to compare them, so that you can have an idea about their specs and features. In terms of designs, they’re not very different from their predecessors, only that the Edge version is much larger than the S6 Edge. If you’re undecided which flagship is worth buying, maybe this article will help you take the best decision.


The Galaxy S7 measures 142.4×69.6×7.9mm and weights 152 grams. On the other hand, the Galaxy S7 Edge is thinner and heavier, but it’s much taller, as it measures 150.9×72.6×7.7mm and weights 157 grams. Both devices come with a glass back which looks gorgeous, and Samsung has opted for the following variants of colors: Black, White, Gold and Silver.


The Galaxy S7 comes with a Super AMOLED display of 5.1-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi. The Galaxy S7 Edge has a larger Super AMOLED display of 5.5-inch with the same resolution, but which gives a lower pixel density of 534 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

Both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices come in two variants of chipsets, processors and graphics cards as follows:

– Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 Octa,
– Processor: a quad-core formed from a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 2.15GHz or an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.6GHz,
– Graphics Card: Adreno 530 or Mali-T880 MP12,
– RAM: 4GB of RAM.


Samsung has released the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge in two variants of internal memories of 32GB or 64GB, which you will also be able to expand up to 200 GB using a microSD card slot.


The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices sport similar cameras. The primary camera has a resolution of 12MP, it’s located on the rear side of the handset, and the list of features includes LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, Auto HDR and panorama. As for the secondary camera, its resolution is 5MP one and it can be used for selfies.


Both devices have non-removable batteries with capacities of 3000mAh for the Galaxy S7 and 3600mAh for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
