The OnePlus 2 and Motorola Moto X Force have been released in July 2015 and November 2015, respectively. While the first is the successor and the improved version of the OnePlus One, the Chinese manufacturer’s debut phone with a huge success, the second is also known as Droid Turbo 2, in some countries. Today we’re going to compare these two handsets and let you decide which one of them suits your needs better.

Designs

The OnePlus 2 measures 151.8×74.9×9.9mm and weights 175 grams. Likewise its predecessor, it features a Sandstone Black texture, but it’s 1mm thicker and has a metal frame running across the sides. Also, on the front side, under the screen is a new fingerprint scanner. The Moto X Force is thinner and lighter, as it measures 149.8x78x9.2mm and weights 169 grams. The phone benefits from a water repellent coating and its back is made by either leather, ballistic nylon or soft-touch polycarbonate.

Displays



The OnePlus 2 has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 401 ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto X Force comes with a bigger AMOLED display of 5.4-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 540 ppi. The display is shatterproof and Motorola has worked on this technology for 3 years, as it prevents the screen from being easily cracked, thanks to the five layers of protection.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The OnePlus 2 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.56GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and in two RAM variants of 3GB and 4GB. The Moto X Force features a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2.0GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The OnePlus 2 has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 64GB, which can’t be expanded. On the other hand, the Moto X Force comes in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, which you will be able to expand up to 200GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The OnePlus 2 has a primary camera of 13MP (found on the rear side of the handset) that features OIS, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Moto X Force has a better primary camera of 21MP with dual-LED, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The battery found on the OnePlus 2 device has a capacity of 3300 mAh, while the Moto X Force is powered by a 3760 mAh battery, which is also non-removable.
