GTA 6 might have a new setting, and rumors say that the new location could be London or Tokyo. Also, the release of the installment will be delayed until 2019 or later, and that’s because Rockstar wants to make its game available for gaming consoles that support 4K resolution.

The United States of America was the best location setting for GTA, but Rockstar is taking into consideration to bring a new location and Tokyo or London could be added to the next installment. Since PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two, the upcoming gaming consoles, will support 4K visuals, Rockstar will wait until they will be released, because it wants to launch the GTA 6 with this latest technology. And won’t happen sooner than 2019.

Also, another reason why the release of the game will be delayed is because Leslie Benzies, the lead developer on the iconic Grand Theft Auto series has left the company and his place won’t be occupied that easily, because it’s hard to find someone who can do a good job without needing to be trained.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in 2013 and shortly after that, Benzies left for a simple sabbatical. At the beginning of 2016, Rockstar has announced that the video game producer has neglected his job in the past 17 months, and in the end, he decided to never return, and his position became vacant. Maybe this is why Rockstar hasn’t released many DLC updates for the Grand Theft Auto 5, since its release.

Now, the situation is very complicated for Rockstar, because it needs to work both on bringing new updates for the GTA 5, and at the same time, it must focus on the development of the GTA 6. The game is expected to come with a new female character whose voice will belong to Eva Mendes, the actress that is the real life partner of Ryan Gosling, who will also lend his voice to the main character. The game is rumored to introduce the teleportation feature and others.
