The year is still very fresh and for Android users, things are looking really good.

There are quite a number of smartphones already in the market and what they offer is nothing but quality.

Devices from China have come with great ability, for instance, the Honor 5X and Xiaomi Redmi 3, but we are yet to see the best from top manufactures such as Samsung, LG, HTC and Motorola, just to name but a few. In this line, we have lined up for you a list of the top 5 smartphones yet to be released, but for sure they should get you excited.

OnePlus 3

OnePlus has come into the smartphone world with a bang and over the past two years, it has rolled out two quality smartphones priced at very affordable prices. The surprising part of these phones is the quality on offer at such prices.

Last year it released the OnePlus 2, now this year we expect the company to unveil the OnePlus 3. One thing that has been detrimental to the sales of OnePlus smartphones is its invite-only purchase system. However, word has it that this is going to stop with the upcoming phone. Further, some experts have been critical about the missing NFC feature on the OnePlus 2. This should get enthusiasts excited about this upcoming phone, but it might take months.

Xiaomi Mi5

Xiaomi is the fourth-leading seller of smartphones in the world; however, it has yet to break into the U.S. market. Nonetheless, this company will be at the upcoming MWC 2016 event, with the VP Hugo Barra claiming that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 is “everything you imagined” and much more. This should be worth getting you more than excited.

The Mi5, which is the next flagship from the company, will be available at a cut-price, especially when compared to the upcoming Samsung, HTC, LG and Apple flagships.

Samsung Galaxy S7

Samsung Galaxy S7 will be released at the upcoming MWC 2016 event. Samsung is expected to make amends for its failed efforts on the Galaxy S6. The company is rumored to be bringing back the water resistivity as well as expandable storage to the S7.

In other aspects such as photography, display and specs, Samsung is expected to upgrade what it offered on the previous models, but expect to see the same metal and glass design. The 3D Touch technology used on Apple’s iPhone 6S is also expected to feature on the upcoming Galaxy S7, but with a different name, something like ClearForce.

Other models expected to be unveiled alongside the S7 is Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the S7 Edge+.

LG G5

LG unveiled the LG V10 towards the end of last year and it is set to follow this up with a new flagship – LG G5. A successor to last year’s LG G4, this phone is expected to bring incremental upgrades to this device while maintaining the consistent high quality of the LG G series.

Many have been at fault with LG’s material design for its LG G4. We expect the company to improve on this aspect, but having a G5 smartphone with a metal-glass finish is still a dream for LG enthusiasts. This phone is expected to be released at the upcoming MWC 2016.

HTC One M10

Rumor has it that HTC will be unveiling the next HTC One M10 in April. Coming in as a successor to the last year’s HTC One M9, this phone has a lot on its shoulders. The company’s sales have been dwindling in the recent past, something that this phone is expected to change.

There is very little information about this phone’s specs and features. However, being an upgrade from last year’s model, the One M10 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 820 CPU, a 3GB or 4GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes.

Other smartphones to watch out for this year include the Nextbit Robin, Asus Zenfone 3, Sony Xperia Z6 as well as Lenovo’s Moto G (2016) and Moto X (2016).
