Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Will Roll Out To Sony Xperia Z4 And Coming Preinstalled On Xiaomi Mi 5
Another Sony flagship will receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and it’s the Sony Xperia Z4 which was released in May 2015 with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be finally launched in a few days and the new leaks suggest that the phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Xperia Z4 users have reasons to be happy, as Sony will release the Android Marshmallow update for this device next month, in the same period when other Android phones will receive it, as well. For now, we don’t know any details about the size of the installation file, or the software number, because Sony hasn’t confirmed this information and this could be false. So, we should take this news with a bit of salt and not get mad if Sony’s plans to upgrade its flagships will not include the Xperia Z4.
Another information that reached our ears is that Xiaomi will release its new Xiaomi Mi 5 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The latest leaks showed the device’s home screen, which appears to have the similar set of icons introduced in Marshmallow and there’s another image with onscreen details revealing that the device has an internal memory of 64GB (52.03GB usable) and it supports 3GB of RAM. The firmware version that was noticed on the screen suggests that this is the final prototype of the Mi 5. Xiaomi was supposed to release this phone at the end of 2015, but it seems that the company has delayed its launch because it wanted to make the device perfect. Its screen will have a diagonal of 5.2-inch which will support a Full HD resolution, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.1GHz. On top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow will run MIUI 126.96.36.199, Xiaomi’s latest UI.
