Lenovo has been immensely successful in terms of the smartphones that it has brought out recently and the latest in this line-up could be the Lenovo A7010.
The phone was awaiting an official launch for several weeks, but it has now been confirmed through leaks from a Romanian online store.
This dual SIM phone packs quite a punch in terms of media consumption due to its 5.5 inch screen, which means it on par with several high end devices. Even though the Lenovo A7010 loses out in terms of resolution because of having only full HD on-board, this is not a huge problem since even with this resolution the display manages to put out 401 PPI. Further, the full HD resolution also enhances the battery life of the phone, which would have taken a hit had it gone for the QHD screens.
The phone may have a top of the range display, but it continues to come with the older 5.1 version of android. This comes as a surprise element especially given that Lenovo A7010 uses the 1.5 GHz octa core processor at its heart. The Mediatek MT6753 has already found its place in a number of mid-range smartphones and it is rather surprising that all of them tend to avoid the latest 6.0 version of android. The Lenovo A7010 has enough specifications – like the 2 GB of RAM – to go along with this powerful processor and it may not be long before it gets the latest android version.
The 13 megapixel camera in the rear gets quite enhanced by the dual LED flash and phase detection. The ability of this camera to capture a lot of detail coupled with the availability of many high-end features like dual led flash improves the multimedia capability of the device even further.
The phone is available in three internal memory options starting from as low as 8 GB, while the top end model has 32 GB. Even if this memory is insufficient, users can go for the microSD cards. Lenovo A7010 has slots that can accept cards of up to 128 GB. Unlike some of the phones recently launched by Huawei, the Lenovo A7010 misses out on some crucial elements like fingerprint sensor. The phone, which is backed by a very large 3300 mAh battery, is expected to be priced around $240.
