WhatsApp is the most used messaging application in the world, as it has over 1 billion monthly active users who are chatting with their friends and families, or make voice calls.  Today we’re going to talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version for Android devices, which brings important changes.

The WhatsApp 2.12.459 is the first BETA version of this application that was released after the new STABLE version for Android, and which came with new emojis and the Google Drive option. The latest WhatsApp BETA version comes with new statistics on network usage, which means that you will be able to know how many bytes you’ve consumed from sending and receiving messages during data roaming. This new option is very useful, especially if you travel abroad and if you have a limited mobile data usage.

The WhatsApp 2.12.459 APK file has been decreased by 106KB, which is pretty much and there are over 500 modified files, most of them related to the application’s functions. There are also 11 removed files, most of them related to the old function to pay for the service, such as “Google Wallet” icons. However, it seems that the “PayPal” icon has not been removed yet and we’re not sure why the developer decided to still keep that icon. There are 55 new files added, most of them being icons along with two xml files such as: “documents_gallery.xml” and “document_media_item.xml”
