Microsoft Lumia 550 has been released in the fourth quarter of 2015, while the Lumia 650 device is scheduled to be launched this month, and it will come with much better specifications compared to the smartphone that was released last year.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 measures 136.1×67.8×9.9mm and weights 141.9 grams. On the other hand, the Microsoft Lumia 650 will be slimmer and lighter as it will measure 142×70.9×6.9mm and weight 122 grams. Their designs are almost identical, as both devices have a plastic back available in black and white colors, and have the rear camera located in the central top. The only difference is that the Lumia 650 has an anodized aluminum frame.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 has an IPS display of 4.7-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 315 ppi and. The Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to come with a bigger AMOLED display of 5-inch that will support a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and it will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.1GHz, an Adreno 304 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The Microsoft Lumia 650 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 clocked at 1.3GHz, an Adreno 304 graphics card and 1GB of RAM.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 has been released with an internal storage of 8GB, which you can expand up to 200GB with a microSD card. The Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to support a double internal memory and it will support expansion up to the same capacity.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 sports a primary camera of 5MP (found on the rear side of the handset) which offers LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 2MP (found on the front side of the device). The Microsoft Lumia 650 device will come with a better primary camera of 8MP that will feature autofocus, LED flash and the secondary camera is 5MP.
