LG Stylus 2 hasn’t received such huge attention as compared to the LG G5 that the Life’s Good Company is set to unveil at the upcoming MWC 2016 event in Barcelona.
It seems the event is going to be more fun than expected, especially that LG will also be unveiling a new set of X screen and X cam phones. As a follow up to the previous LG G4 Stylus smartphone, LG has teased the Stylus 2. This phone comes in with a much improved stylus that features a nano-coated tip. According to the company, this tip makes the stylus more accurate when compared to the G4 Stylus, which featured a rubber tip.
To make the phone and its stylus abilities a much better experience for end users, the LG crew has equipped the phone with quite a number of features. You will come across a feature such as Pen Keeper. This tool is meant to prevent users from leaving the stylus behind after using it. The feature will alert you whenever it detects the stylus is missing in its slot yet the phone is in motion.
Another great addition to the LG Stylus 2 is the Pen Pop. This feature brings up a menu displaying shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner whenever the stylus is removed.
Other LG Stylus 2 specs
In addition to coming in with a full range of stylus-based capabilities, the Stylus 2 will be a mid-range smartphone that features a 5.7-inch display screen. The screen will manage a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, which is not the best for such a huge display. Nonetheless, when you consider the phone is in the mid-range, it is still a decent device.
In processing matters, the LG Stylus 2 features a quad-core processing unit that is supported by a RAM of 1.5GB. The phone has onboard storage of 16GB, but it can be expanded using a microSD card. You will enjoy taking photos with this device’s 13MP snapper on the rear and 8MP lens on the selfie cam. LG will pack a 3,000mAh battery unit in the Stylus 2 and it will be powered by the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
LG has kept quiet about the price or even the specific date of releasing this phone. All it says is that the phone is “exceptionally priced” and equipped with some of the best features only seen on high-end devices. If you have been dreaming of having a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but the price scared you away, the LG Stylus 2 seems to be just what you need.
If LG decides to show up this phone at the upcoming MWC 2016 tech event starting February 22, we will probably get more details about the pricing and official launch date of the phone.
