The Lumia 550 came out two months ago and just like its competitor, the Lumia 650, it has Windows 10 Mobile on board. Specs and the cost details regarding these two Lumia devices are detailed down below, so check it:
The Lumia 650 has a 5-inch AMOLED display with HD resolution of 1280×720 and 297ppi where as the Lumia 550 has a 4.7-inch display, same resolution, only 315ppi.
Processor & Connectivity
The Microsoft Lumia 650 delivers a 1.3GHz Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU while the Microsoft Lumia 550 packs a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor and the similar Adreno 304 GPU. As far as connectivity, both devices support 4G LTE and 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n as well as Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1and microUSB 2.0.
RAM & Internal Storage
Both Lumia devices offer 1GB of RAM, but as far as internal storage the Lumia 650 has 16GB whereas the Lumia 550 has 8GB of internal storage, however they both support a microSD , thus the internal storage can be expanded up to 200GB.
Camera, Battery Unit & Costs
The Lumia 650 is equipped with an 8MP back-end shooter and it includes auto-focus and LED flash while the FFC is a 5MP one, the back-end camera included in the Lumia 550 is a 5 MP one with auto-focus, LED flash while the front shooter is only a 2MP one.
Battery wise, Microsoft Lumia 650 comes with a detachable 2000 mAh battery and the Lumia 550 has a slightly bigger 2100 mAh battery, also detachable.
As for the costs, the Lumia 650 retails for $199 (no taxes). Note: If you pre-order it from UK, the latter smartphone will cost you £160, the Lumia 550 on the other hand costs $139 (again no taxes), however in the UK the Lumia 550 is marked at £99.99.
