The Motorola Moto X Force and LG Nexus 5X are two devices that have been released in the fourth quarter of 2015. The Motorola Moto X Force has a big advantage, as it comes with a shatterproof glass, while the Nexus 5X and its big brother, the Nexus 6X phablet, are the first Google devices that benefit from a fingerprint scanner. Designs

The Moto X Force measures 149.8x78x9.2mm and weights 169 grams. The phone is very durable, as its back is made of thick plastic, it has ruggedized corners and a metal rim flowing smoothly into the curved back panel. If you don’t like the plastic version, then you can opt for the pebbled leather model. On the other hand, the LG Nexus 5X is thinner and lighter as it measures 147×72.6×7.9mm and weights 136 grams, while its back is made of a matte plastic. The design is very simple and there is only a circular fingerprint scanner under the rear camera situated on the top center.

Displays

The Moto X Force comes with an AMOLED display of 5.4-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 540 ppi. This is the world’s first shatterproof screen built with a five-layer system which makes it very hard to crack. The Nexus 5X has a normal IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 423 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Moto X Force features a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Nexus 5X is weaker, being powered by a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 an hexa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.44GHz and a dual-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Moto X Force has been released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but you can expand it up to 200GB by using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Nexus 5X comes in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB, but it doesn’t have a card slot for storage expansion.

Cameras

The Moto X Force sports a powerful primary camera of 21MP (found on the rear side of the handset) that features dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP (found on the front side of the smartphone). The Nexus 5X has a weaker primary camera of 12.3MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

Both smartphones come with non-removable batteries, but the Moto X Force has a more powerful battery of 3760, mAh while the Nexus 5X has a cell with a capacity of 2700 mAh.
