The Xiaomi Mi 4i and Huawei Nexus 6P are two devices that have been released last year. Both devices come with big screen sizes, great specifications and today we’re going to compare them.


The Xiaomi Mi 4i measures 138.1×69.6×7.8mm and weights 130 grams. Like its other siblings, it has a plastic back with a simple design and the available color options are Dark Gray, Black, White, Yellow, Blue and Pink. The Huawei Nexus 6P measures 159.3×77.8×7.3 and weights 178 grams, but its exterior is made of aluminum and on the back, across the top edge runs a glossy black band which contains the camera. Below it is a fingerprint scanner.


The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with an IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi and it’s protected by a Corning scratch-resistant glass. On the other hand, the Huawei Nexus 6P has a bigger AMOLED display of 5.7-inch that supports a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 518 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Mi 4i handset features a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset which supports an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, it’s backed by an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 6P has a superior Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset with an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.55GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.


None of the devices support a card slot for storage expansion. The Mi 4i device has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB, while the Nexus 6P comes in three internal storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.


The Mi 4i sports a primary camera of 13MP (found on the rear side of the handset) that offers autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP (found on the front side of the device). The Nexus 6P has a primary camera of 12.3MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED Flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a better secondary camera of 8MP.


Both devices have non-removable batteries, but the Mi 4i has a smaller cell of only 3120 mAh, while the Nexus 6P is powered by a 3450 mAh battery that is charged via a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.
