There are many reports saying that Apple’s iPhone 5SE and Galaxy S7 will be revealed sometime soon and they will go on sale in March 2016.
We remind you that Samsung has reported that it sold the most smartphones in 2015 and they will go toe-to-toe with the biggest brand name in the world which is Apple.
However, this is not the first time when Samsung and Apple release handsets in close proximity. Apple is usually releasing its main iPhone series sometime in September, every year. That’s the same timeframe when Samsung is usually releasing its new Galaxy Note phablet – during the Berlin IFA show.
It seems that now the stakes are higher for the South Korean multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul, as the Galaxy Note range is a popular seller, but it seems that in 2016, the company will rely on its Galaxy S7 device.
Samsung will need to attract more customers to buy a higher-priced device and not “good enough” mid-range devices such as the Galaxy A9. The South Korean company will also need to come up with some new ideas in order to attract more customers.
And since the iPhone 5SE will appear in the same week when the Galaxy S7 is expected to reach the stores in the US, it will surely hit the social media campaigns and online marketing. Without any doubts, when the iPhone 5SE will be revealed, it will have an impact on the coverage and some of the first “reviews” of the Galaxy S7.
With other words, Apple has now the chance to bring its iPhone 5SE against the Galaxy S7 as an “ultimate” spoiler, but that will not be too easy. Let’s not forget that the iPhone 5SE is not a flagship handset, as it is actually an update to the older iPhone 5S. It will come with almost the same components found on the iPhone 6 family in order to keep the costs down.
The iPhone 5SE is like the iPhone 5C handset, a device that was wrongly seen by many as a “budget” iPhone because of its plastic design and weaker specs. However, over time, the iPhone 5C was sold very well, but it wasn’t quite appreciated when it was released.
Do you think that the iPhone 5SE will beat the Samsung Galaxy S7?
